1. Preamble
These Terms & Conditions (the „T&C") govern the rights and obligations between Hifo Taxi, with registered office at Námestie SNP 2, 036 01 Martin, Slovakia, ID: [to be added], VAT ID: [to be added] (the „Carrier"), and the customer ordering personal taxi services (the „Customer").
The Carrier operates regular and irregular personal road transport under Act No. 56/2012 on Road Transport and related Slovak legislation.
2. Definitions
- Ride – the personal taxi service provided by the Carrier to the Customer.
- Driver – a person authorised by the Carrier, holding a valid driver's licence and taxi licence.
- Booking – a binding request by the Customer for a ride, made by phone, mobile app, or web form.
- Price list – the current rates published at www.hifotaxi.sk.
3. Contractual relationship
The subject of the contract is the provision of personal taxi transport from the chosen pick-up location to the agreed destination, at a price set by the current price list.
The contract enters into effect once the booking is confirmed by the Carrier's dispatcher or driver. The Carrier reserves the right to refuse a booking, in particular due to insufficient capacity, technical issues, or prior breach of these T&C by the Customer.
4. Placing a booking
The Customer may book a ride:
- by phone on +421 902 740 140 or +421 915 370 690,

- via the contact form at www.hifotaxi.sk.
The Customer must provide accurate information: name, phone, pick-up location, drop-off location, requested time, and number of passengers.
5. Pricing and payment
The ride price consists of a base fee, per-kilometre rate, and a minimum fare. Current rates in Martin and Vrútky are listed in the Pricing section of the website.
For airport transfers and long-distance rides the Carrier agrees a fixed price with the Customer in advance. This price is binding for both parties.
Payment is accepted in cash or by card directly in the vehicle. On request the Carrier will issue a receipt or invoice.
6. Cancellation policy
- Free cancellation is available up to 30 minutes before the agreed pick-up time.
- Cancellation later than 30 minutes before the ride may be subject to a cancellation fee equal to the minimum fare.
- If the Customer does not appear at the pick-up location within 10 minutes of the vehicle's arrival and does not respond to phone contact, the Carrier may cancel the ride and charge the minimum fare.
7. Customer rights and obligations
The Customer is obliged to:
- provide accurate information when booking,
- be ready at the agreed time and place,
- follow the driver's instructions and safe travel rules,
- pay the full price immediately after the ride,
- compensate any damage caused to the vehicle or Carrier's property.
The Customer has the right to:
- a clean, roadworthy vehicle,
- professional and polite driver behaviour,
- a receipt of payment,
- file a complaint per section 9 below.
8. Carrier rights and obligations
The Carrier is obliged to:
- arrive at the agreed time and place (with reasonable tolerance for traffic),
- perform the ride safely and via the shortest reasonable route,
- ensure the driver holds all required licences,
- handle lost items per section 11.
The Carrier may refuse to transport a person:
- severely intoxicated or under the influence of substances that compromise safety,
- whose behaviour endangers the safety or health of the driver or other passengers,
- who may soil or damage the vehicle,
- whose transport would breach the law.
9. Complaints
The Customer may file a complaint about a ride within 30 days of the ride being performed. Complaints can be sent in writing to the Carrier's registered address or by email to hifotaxi@gmail.com.
The Carrier will resolve the complaint without undue delay, no later than 30 days from receipt, and will inform the Customer in writing or by email of the outcome.
10. Liability
The Carrier is liable for damages caused to the Customer during transport according to applicable Slovak law. Liability does not extend to damages caused by force majeure, third-party action, or the Customer's own fault.
11. Lost items
Items found in the vehicle after the ride are kept by the Carrier for 30 days. The Customer may collect them at the Carrier's office by prior phone arrangement. After this period, items are handed over to the local lost-and-found office.
12. Personal data
Processing of personal data is governed by a separate Privacy Policy , which forms an integral part of these T&C.
13. Alternative dispute resolution
A consumer has the right to file a request for redress with the Carrier if not satisfied with how a complaint was handled. If the Carrier replies negatively or does not respond within 30 days, the consumer may submit a proposal for alternative dispute resolution to an authorised entity (e.g. the Slovak Trade Inspection, www.soi.sk).
14. Final provisions
These T&C take effect on the date listed at the top. The Carrier reserves the right to amend the T&C unilaterally; the current version is always published at www.hifotaxi.sk.
Matters not covered by these T&C are governed by the Slovak Civil Code, Act No. 56/2012 on Road Transport, Act No. 250/2007 on Consumer Protection, and other applicable Slovak laws.
Any disputes arising from these T&C or from the transport contract will be resolved by the competent court of the Slovak Republic.
